Airbird - City vs Mountains

This is one of the few bands where I came away from SXSW remembering. I saw them at the True Panther/Ad Hoc showcase on the last official day, they came on right before one of my favorites Javelin. 3 dudes by way of Brooklyn infusing chilled beats with live drumming, yacht rock saxophone and phat bass rips.

This comes off Joel Ford’s 12” on Mexican Summer’s Software. If you’re not aware, Joel Ford is the partner of 80’s pop revivalist Ford & Lopatin.
